Everyone was in today including Courtney, Maria's oldest daughter who had been on a school trip.
Lisa had been working on more applique over the last week and had embellished a hoodie for Lacey with her name on it which Lacey loves!
We started working on to garments. I explained stitching on to stretchy fabric and using a stablizer like interfacing to stop the fabric from over-stretching. I demonstrated how to set up a t shirt with stablizer in an embroidery ring. Lisa started working on a t shirt for Lacey and Lindsay started one for Finley with an under the sea theme.
Emma and Danielle experimented with applique as they had missed the last session.
Maria, Lisa and Danielle have all finished their samplers and they look absolutely gourgeous! All really individual with new takes on the stitches and great text.
We chatted today about babies going off to nursery or the childminder for the first time and how it made us feel. Today was Arlo's first day at nursery so it was really good to have some moral support from other mums! We also talked about children going off on trips for the first time, Maria said she had found it really hard to have her daughter stay away for the first time. We talked about embellishing garments and customising clothes and all the projects everyone would like to do.
